Indrajith Sukumaran – Actor
Indrajith Sukumaran is one of the famous indian film actors who predominantly acts in Malayalam industry. He started his career through the movie Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan, directed by Vinayan. He is present in the industry from 2002.
Indrajith Sukumaran was born in a family of film personalities. His father Sukumaran was one of the actor in Malayalam industry in 1970’s while her mother Mallika Sukumaran is an actress in Mollywood. He has a younger brother named Prithviraj Sukumaran, he is also in the same field. Indran did his primary education from a reputed institute in Tamil Nadu. When his family returned back to Kerala, he joined in Sainik School in Thiruvananthapuram. He had completed his engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajaas Engineering College in Tamil Nadu.
Indrajith Sukumaran was very active in his school – college time, participated many cultural activities. During his childhood, he appeared in a film titled Padayani (1986). In which he presented childhood of Mohanlal. He is a good singer too, he has sung few songs for Malayalam films such as Amar Akbar Anthony (Premamennaal), Nayakan (Ranadheera), Happy Husbands (Title Song) etc.
He married to Poornima Mohan on 13th December 2002. Now they have two daughters : Praarthana (Elder), Nakshatra (Younger). His younger daughter Nakshatra appeared in a film titled Tiyaan along with him.
Acting Career
Indrajith Sukumaran made his debut in the industry through the movie Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan, directed by Vinayan and which was released in 2002. The film features Jayasurya and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles, Indran presented the character named Shyam, a negative shaded character. In the same year he made his debut in Tamil, Vinayan remade this film into Tamil titled En Mana Vaanil.
In the same year (2002), Indran appeared in his second film titled Meesa Madhavan, directed by Lal Jose. The film features Dileep and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles, in which Indrajith handled a negative shaded police officer named Eapen Pappachi. The character Eapen had a prominent role and which help him to became popular among the audience.
In 2003, he shared the screen with Mammootty in the film Pattalam, directed by Lal Jose. In which he presented the role of an Army officer. He had appeared in only few sequences of the film. In the same year he had appeared in other two films – Mizhi Randilum, Mullavalliyum Thenmavum.
In 2005, Indrajith shared the screen with his brother Prithviraj in the movie Police, directed by V.K. Prakash. After that they jointly acted in many films such as Krithyam (2005), Classmates (2006), Oruvan (2006), Twenty-20 (2008), Nammal Thammil (2009), Bachelor Party (2012), Double Barrel (2015), Amar Akbar Anthony (2015), Tiyaan (2017) etc…
He made his debut in Telugu industry through the movie Kavya’s Diary, directed by Karuna Prakash and which was released in 2009. Indran made his debut in Hollywood by appearing in the film The Waiting Room, directed by Maneej Premnath and which was released in 2010.
Performance basely he is a talented actor and a true asset to the industry. He has lot of characters to point out to prove his mettle.
