Prithviraj film Detroit Crossing aka Ranam starts rolling
Prithviraj starer film Detroit Crossing aka Ranam has finally started rolling at U S. It is crime drama film written and directed by debutant Nirmal Sahadev. Prithvi recently wrapped the last schedule of Pradeep M Nair’s debut directorial venture Vimanam. Detroit Crossing is another English-Malayalam crossover film of Prithviraj after Shyamaprasad’s Ivide. The movie is produced by Anand Kumar Payyanur under the banner of Yes Cinema Company.
The film essays the true events happened around the immigrant Tamil street gangs in Detroit and Michigan. Isha Talwar, Ashwin Kumar and Sampath Rajwill appear in other prominent roles. The main shooting location should be in the city of Detroit and Michigan.
Director Nirmal Sahadev turns to his debut directorial venture with his own script. He entered into industry as an assistant director. he is the former assistant of director Shyama Prasad. Now he decided to do a film independently with a different theme and choose Prithviraj and Isha for handling the lead roles. The film is a crime thriller and narrates the story of a Tamil street gang that located in Detroit and Michigan.
Prithviraj plays the lead male character who is a member in Tamil street gang. This is the second cross over film of Prithviraj, Shyamaprasad’s film Ivide was his last cross over film and which was released in 2015. In this film he plays a strong character and his fans have high expectation on this film. Isha Talwar plays the female lead in this film, she has a equally important role with Prithvi. The character is mature and strong in nature.
Jakes Bejoy handles the sound department for the movie, both movie tracks and back ground music are done by him. Lukasz Pruchnik is the man who behind the camera, whose last Malayalam work was Monsoon Mangoes.
