Udhaharanam Sujatha is an upcoming Malayalam movie directed by debutant Praveen C Joseph. The film features Manju Warrier, Mamtha Mohandas and debutante Anaswara in lead roles. Udhaharanam Sujatha revolves around the battle of a mother to teach her immature daughter.

The film is the first solo directorial venture of the Praveen C Joseph, who was an associate director with Martin Prakkat in the film Charlie.

It would be a challenging role of Manju in her career, her come back to the industry was through the movie How Old Are You. Now she got a chance to prove her acting. Manju handles the character Sujatha, a widow who is from Chenkalchoola and also the mother of a 15-year old girl. Debutante Anaswara is featuring the role of Sujatha’s daughter in this film.

After the success of Thoppil Jopan, Mamtha Mohandas will portrays the role of a District Collector in this film. Her character is expected to be a pivotal one in this film.

Nedumudi Venu, Joju George and many newcomers also featuring in some of the important supporting roles in this movie.

Udhaharanan Sujatha is produced by Joju George and Martin Prakkat. The movie is scripted by Martin Prakkat along with Naveen Bhaskar, who penned the script for Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. Madhu Neelakandan is the man who behinds the camera. Gopi Sundar composes the music and editing is done by Mahesh Narayanan.

Some of the situations in the movie is based on the incidents happened to true IAS officers. It is a complete family entertainer which entertain all kind of audience. Cotton Hill Higher Secondary School, Chenkal Choola colony and its premises are the major locations of the film.
